Don’t let the name fool you: BITS is anything but bite-sized. BITS (Business Ideas To Share) is a business conference that plans on making a big scene on the campus of the University of California, San Diego. While UCSD may typically be associated in the fields of science, engineering, and medicine, BITS Conference is an opportunity for people interested in other fields to be exposed to the different industries of business. Stressed about finding a job after graduation? Let BITS open some doors for you.

Hosted By Alpha Kappa Psi, the oldest and leading business organization at UCSD, BITS Conference is an innovative and informative approach to help the growth of aspiring business students. The event is to take place on Saturday, May 22nd 2010, with a focus on various business industries, including finance, consulting, marketing, entrepreneurship, and accounting. The conference will feature professionals from these various industries in case studies, presentations, and panels to provide students with better knowledge for their business aspirations. Of these industries, Alpha Kappa Psi has developed relations with high profile industry professionals from Qualcomm, Intuit, Bain & Company, MassMutual, Ernst & Young, TD Ameritrade, Deloitte, Red Door Interactive, Bainbridge, Veechi and more.

BITS Conference is projected to be an annual event, with people from vastly different organizations involved to make this event a revolutionary success. Exclusivity is not a factor here; everyone is invited to take advantage of this once-a-year experience. From 9:00 am-2:30 pm in Price Center, there has never been an event so accessible and relevant to the students of UCSD.

Alpha Kappa Psi’s purpose is to provide students with a business education through valuable interaction with industry professionals. In a time of a declining workforce, it’s important to start making connections and invest in opportunities for the future. At the BITS Conference, opportunities will find you. Interested in networking, furthering your education, or finding that inspiration to be the next Donald Trump? Just take it one bit at a time.
